Haldiya Maurya people, descendants of Queen Mother Helena

Haldiya Maurya people, descendants of Queen Mother Helena, the wife of Emperor Chandragupta Maurya, are called Hardiya, Haldiya etc. because of their fair complexion like turmeric.  The name of Helena's son was Justin Maurya.  Who became a learned writer.  Justin Maury's children were basically fairer.  But due to intermarriage among all the Maurya castes and sub-castes, all the Mauryas got mixed.

Justin was not older than Bindusara.  That couldn't have happened.  Chandragupta's first wife died while giving birth to Bindusara in 320 BC.  Chandragupta married Helen 15 years later in 305 BC and Justin was born to her.  He should be at least 20 years younger than Bindusara.

Helena was a devoted and intelligent woman.  There is no instance that he had hatched any kind of political conspiracy against the Maurya dynasty.  It was an important link connecting two great civilizations.  During his time many Greeks came to India and settled here.  One such Greek was Heliodorus who settled in Vidisha, Madhya Pradesh and built a pillar which is known by his name.  If you ever go to Vidisha then definitely see it.
