The court has ordered the ED and prison specialists to provide their responses to his demands by Monday, and in the meanwhile has given him permission to eat home-cooked meals that adhere to his nutritional needs.

Goyal, 74, was apprehended by the organization in connection with a tax evasion investigation on the allegation that he and the carrier had defrauded Canara Bank of 538 crore.

The ED has also disputed Stream Aviation routes' use of a credit obtained from a group of 10 banks to cover their operational expenses between 2011–12 and 2018–19.
