Bamhi script to Devanagari script (Hindi Day) -

 -PaWan Kumar-

Indikausha accepts the presence of "Hind" in Megasthenes' Indika.

The name of Emperor Ashoka's son was Mahinda.  Ashoka sent Mahinda and Sanghamitta to propagate Buddhism in Ceylon. In the south is the Mahindragiri Mountains and the Indian Ocean.

You will not find the use of the word Sindhu anywhere in archeology before the Gupta period.

Not from Sidh to Hid but from Hid to Sidh.

Vidyapati, an expert in Hindi, has called Hindi "desi bhasha (local language)".

Historians have called the word "Hindi" a Persian word.

The script of Hindi is Dhammalipi only.  Only two long vowel extensions, visarga, ri, separate clerical signs for some compound letters were added later.

The inscriptions of Emperor Ashoka contain the words "Hida".  The meaning of the word Hid here is in the sense of local.

The word Hidatpalate has been used in the column article based in Delhi Topra.

In the sixth line of the second separate inscription of Dhauli, “Hidalokiko (conquered areas of Ashoka) Parlokiko (outer areas)” is used.

In all the words "Hid" is used only in the form of here, this, local, this country.  In the inscription of Girnar, the word "Idh" has been used instead of "Hid".

Hidūš has been used in the inscriptions of Darius.

It was during the reign of Ashoka that the word 'Hid' of Prakrit and Pali language reached Persia.

Archeology proves that "Hid" is not a word of any other language.  Rather, the local language is Prakrit-Pali word.

Over time, the word Hindi Hindu Hindusthan was formed from “Hid”.  Who were locative.

The people living in India became Hindus (not a religion). Later, to bring all the religions born in India under one word, they started propagating Brahmin religion from Hindu place.

The script of the Indus Valley Civilization is actually an earlier form of the Bamhi script (Dhamma script of Ashoka).  Dhamma script is the mother of all scripts of India.

Nagarilipi Bengaliscript Sharadalipi         Telugu-Kannadi    Tamil etc.

It has expanded even further and is yet to be understood.

The eastern and western styles of Bamhi script are actually a mixed form of North and South Indian styles, in which sometimes the influence of North Indian and sometimes South Indian style is visible.

Devanagari developed from the superior script (Bamhi script).  Many scripts of India are very similar to Devanagari, such as Bengali, Gujarati, Gurmukhi etc.

Hindi and its various dialects are written in the Devanagari script.  The Nepali (Khaskura) Newari languages of our neighboring country Newal are also written in this script.  The script of Marathi language is Devanagari.

There is only one extra letter ळ in Marathi.  Gujarati script is not much different from Devanagari. Bengali script is definitely a sister, if not the daughter, of the ancient Nagari script.

This Nagari script of South India was called Nandinagari. Writings in Nagari (Nandanagari) script start being found from South India from the eighth century and from North India from the ninth century.

Alberuni has written in his treatise (1030 AD) that Nagar script is used in Malwa.

Early Hindi literature starts being found from the eighth-ninth century.  The manuscript of 'Dohakosh' of Hindi's first poet Sarahapada (eighth century) has been found.

From the eleventh century onwards, writings in ancient Marathi language start being found in Nagari script.

Emperor Akbar had issued a coin which has the figure of Ram-Sita and the word Rammiya inscribed in Nagari script.

After the 12th century we see all the Hindu rulers of North India using the Devanagari script.  Some Islamic rulers have also placed Nagari inscriptions on their coins.

The script of the Naga logo is Devanagari.  Arya became Arya, Hid became Hindi, Hindu is a part of Indian culture.

 Happy Hindi Diwas
